About CrossFit Force
CrossFit Force is a place to achieve ELITE FITNESS. We teach basic to advanced level classes in, among other things, functional exercise, athletic conditioning, plyometrics, Olympic weightlifting, endurance training, medicine ball and dumbbell training, power-lifting, gymnastics, running and jumping rope. Our athletes are extremely diverse in their experience, conditioning, and lives; and include students, teachers, business executives, stay-at-home moms, working moms, firefighters, law enforcement officers, marathoners, triathletes, grandmas, martial artists and cagefighters. CrossFit is our primary training method. We focus on optimizing physical competence in each of the ten recognized fitness domains: Cardio-Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. The workouts provided are always varied and the results are dramatic. CrossFit Force is a place of support and camaraderie to anyone willing to put in the work and effort.
What sets CrossFit Force apart from other gyms is that we require you to use your brain as well as your muscles, to learn, to challenge yourself, to perform things you never thought you could do, to practice new skills that require you to be focused and “in the game.” We teach you how to move your body with proper mechanics, stability, balance, and agility. We do this so that when you’re NOT with us, you can truly have fun, live life, be the best you can be.
“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, sail a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly, specialization is for insects.” Robert Heinlein, as quoted in Starting Strength 2nd edition by Mark Rippetoe and Lon Kilgore, Assagaard Company 2007
Impose your will
At CrossFit Force you learn to “impose your will” on anything and everything. You impose your will over objects by lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, carrying, or throwing them. You impose your will over your surrounding space by moving your body through, running around, jumping over, jumping on or off, pulling yourself up, or pushing yourself off. You impose your will over time by performing a task quickly. More importantly, you impose your will by overcoming that dark place that you go to when your head is telling you that you can’t do anymore, you’re too tired, you’ve done enough. It’s for this moment that we train for – to keep pushing through.
Impose your will means never quit, never give up. Every day here at CrossFit Force you get the chance to impose your will. Your power and your resolve to never quit and never give up, will grow. Your mind and your body will become powerful and you will be truly capable of anything.
CrossFit Force builds a complete person who is physically fit, mentally strong and capable of anything they choose to do.
